Biographie
Castélie Yalombo Lilonge est une artiste belgo-hispano-congolaise née et résidant à Bruxelles. Elle est diplômée de l’ULB ainsi que d’un Master de l’Institut Supérieur des Arts et Chorégraphies de l’ArBa-EsA en 2020. Sa pratique artistique se situe à l’intersection de différents champs : la chorégraphie, l’écriture poétique et l’installation. Les questions relatives à l’identité, l’altérité et les modes de relations, ainsi que le statut de sujet/objet du corps, opèrent comme les fondements et structures de sa pratique. Elle a collaboré comme performeuse et danseuse avec les artistes Clément Thirion (2016), Fabian Barba (2017), Ingrid Midgard Fiksal (2019), Faustin Linyekula (2019) et Louise Vanneste (2021). Sa participation au travail de Faustin Linyekula a contribué à la sensibiliser aux questions décoloniales, et plus particulièrement aux nécessités d’une réarticulation des récits de nos identités dans le grand maillage des Histoires oubliées, confisquées, cachées et dominantes. Depuis 2018, elle travaille à la création de plusieurs performances, le plus souvent en solo ou en duo. Ferme les yeux en 2018 (repris plus tard sous le nom de nettoyeuses de l’ombre : water et présentée au KVS lors du festival Congolisation en janvier 2020) et Ceci est mon corps livré pour vous en 2019.

Biography
Castélie Yalombo Lilonge, is a Spanish / Belgian / Congolese artist, born and living in Brussels. Graduated from ULB as well as a Master from the Higher Institute of Choreographic Arts of ARBAESA in 2020. Her artistic practice is at the intersection of choreography, installation and poetic speech. She questions the status of collective identity, otherness and relationship, as well as the subject / object status of the body. She has collaborated as a performer and a dancer with the artists Clément Thirion (2016), Fabian Barba (2017), Ingrid Midgard Fiksal (2019), Faustin Linyekula (2019) and Louise Vanneste (2021). Her experiences with Faustin Linyekula assisted her in raising awareness for the challenging questions of decolonisation, and more particularly of the need for a re-articulation of the narratives of our identities in the great network of forgotten, confiscated, hidden and dominant histories. 2018, she works parallel to the creation of several performances, most often solo or in duo. Close your eyes in 2018 (later used under the name of cleaners of the shade: water,including a duo version presented during the Congolisation festival at KVS in January 2020) and This is my body delivered for you in 2019.
